Michele Arlene Hutton McCune, 44, died peacefully at home in Tallahassee, FL on June 12, 2017, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by the love of many family members and her beloved canine companions.

Michele was born September 7, 1972, at Moody AFB in Valdosta, GA. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Tallahassee and received a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Florida State University. She married James Jeffery McCune on December 9, 2000. She pursued a career in social services before deciding to remain at home to rear her...

Michele Arlene Hutton McCune, 44, died peacefully at home in Tallahassee, FL on June 12, 2017, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by the love of many family members and her beloved canine companions.

Michele was born September 7, 1972, at Moody AFB in Valdosta, GA. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Tallahassee and received a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Florida State University. She married James Jeffery McCune on December 9, 2000. She pursued a career in social services before deciding to remain at home to rear her two children. Two of her proudest moments were the births of her two children.

Michele is survived by her husband, Jeff McCune; son, Logan James McCune; daughter Riley Brennen McCune; parents, Randy and Jill Hutton of Haines City; brother, Daniel Hutton and wife Christine of East Meadow, NY; a niece, Makala Hutton; and nephew, Joseph Hutton.; parents-in-law, Ben and Linetta McCune of Tallahassee; sister-in-law, Nancy McCune (Mitch) of Seattle, WA.; and an aunt-in-law, Peggy McCune of Tallahassee.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, located at 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee.
The family wishes to thank the many people who have supported them in so many ways during Michele's illness. They also wish to thank Big Bend Hospice for its care and support during Michele's final days.
